haha, books organized by color. is there a picture of that somewhere? i love the impracticality, yet sensibility, of it.

i'm a fellow runner (sometimes barefoot, sometimes not) and book lover, so i'll be back to read up on your blog in the future. great to meet you!

I guess I have to sort of disagree with you, while agreeing. I know that they are considered historical fiction, but I just don't see how it can be classified along with Geraldine Brooks and other amazingly rich authors. I know it is sometimes pushed in the same group as historical fiction, but to me it has the deepness level and quality level of chick-lit, that is why I published it together in a post calling it chick lit.

Does that make sense? I get your point, and I know there are many others who agree- I just can't.

I love the idea of you reading and reviewing Christian fiction. But two of the books you called chick lit are really historical fiction which is a very different genre. You picked two of my favorite authors, btw...Gist and Alexander.

For some real Christian chick lit try "What a Girl Wants" by Kristin Billerbeck. Rachel Hauck is another one of my favorite Christian authors, who writes romantic comedy, not quite chick lit.

If you really enjoyed the Christian historical fiction, you might try something by Julie Lessman or Julie Klassen.

Happy Reading!

I don't normally read christian fiction, but A Bride in the Bargain sounds interesting. Must be because its historical fiction.

Have you read The Redemption series by Karen Kingsbury or any of Francine Rivers' books (I particularly love Redeeming Love)? Not sure Rivers would be chick-lit, but Kingsbury kind of is.
