However, I do have to say that there was a break between my reading the first and second books, so that may have helped me to not notice the repetition in the second book. I found myself getting sick of the pseudo-love triangle in The Hunger Games because it didn't seem authentic, and it clearly existed to help set up a trilogy, which annoys me. I adore sequels, trilogies and series, but each book (well, at least the first book) should also stand alone. I'm looking forward to reading Catching Fire when it's my turn at the library, but I'm glad to have read some tepid reviews so my expectation aren't as high.
