Welcome to the dreadlock girl reads! (previously known as B&b ex libris)
I am starting up again over here on my own domain! Yes, I am still getting setup so pardon the caution tape and the extreme amount of chaos. If you would like to make sure you don't loose me, click on the toast in the upper right. It is pretty fun to get to re-do everything (ha, not really) but it is fun to have a blog that works better for me.
Happy reading will continue over here, thanks B&b to the year-and-a-half of joy! I will always think on you fondly!
I am still working on the glitches of this site.....but do you have any recommendations??
things left to do:
figure out how to import my blog, all the easy-click buttons aren't doing the trick (blah!)
add in my bloggie buddies into my sidebar
get a photo up in the sidebar

and on and on.

Do you use Google Reader to follow other people’s blogs? I do, so I just made a book blogs folder in there, put everyone’s feed in it, and put the GR shared widget in my sidebar instead. I completely, horribly fail at updating my sidebar, so any way that I can make it happen automatically is a gift!

Bloggie buddies: As far as I know, WordPress doesn’t do the blogroll like Blogger does (where it updates when they do). You can add in a blogroll using links or you can tie your Google Reader. In GR, go to manage subscriptions, then “Folder & Tags.” Change any of the folders you have from private to public. Then click on “add a clip to your site” or “add blogroll to your site” depending on which one you want. It walks you through it pretty well.
As far as a photo, upload your photo and use a text box with the correct html code (you probably know the code but let me know if you need help).
Looking good so far. Sorry the transfer isn’t going as smoothly as you had hoped.

Looks great! The only thing I would encourage you to do so far is to make your header clickable. Let me know if you need help with that.

Bethany: Maybe it’s just me, but it looks like they left the second “d” out of “dreadlock” in your header. (On my screen it seems to say “the drealock girls reads.”

I, too, love the new look! One suggestion I have about the links is to create a separate page that has them listed. This way you have more space on your main page.
