No-knead Sourdough Bread Recipe
I am in love with a website I have found recently, Breadtopia: For the love of bread.
I have made several of Eric Rusch's recipes, and since I am a sourdough fanatic (not really the sourdough taste but I love the idea of having it live and not buy active yeast!!)
I don't want to snag the whole recipe, so for this delicious bread you need to go to
Breadtopia: Sourdough No Knead Method
I add in 2-3 teaspoons of Baking soda to get rid of some of the acidity and sourdough taste. I know some people love the strong taste, but for me it is a little too sour.
Tonight I am making Breadtopia's Sourdough Pizza recipe. I'll let you know how it goes!
bread
I should be making more, we're out. There is something about warm bread that makes us all dream of butter melting and fresh berry jam. As you can see in the last picture, oliver covets it too.
I'm going outside though, it is too nice to bake today.
bread table
I have my own bread table! Oh, this thing is amazing. The marble top is great for rolling out the dough, and also for putting hot things directly out of the oven...just perfect. I love it! Susan, B's mom gave it to me, she said it would be better if someone used it for more than a sleeping bag holder....and of course I gladly took this gem off her hands :)
B's grandma Marble (from lazy M ranch) had them made for all her kids, and she is very happy to see them being used. I am really happy to use it. I go to work immediately, the day I got it I set out my starter and put it to good use. It has little drawers for the little measuring spoons and such, and the big drawer for flour, sugar... yes so it is all right there. perfection. THANKS SUSAN!
