My Three Year ‘Dreadaversary’!
I've been dreadlock girl for 3 years now. I've gone through all the stages at this point, in the beginning they were smothered with dread wax which I soon decided not to use anymore, then they shrunk way up as they dreaded tighter, and now they are finally getting longer and longer. I wash them about twice a month now, if I wash them more my hair and scalp really dries out. I am still very happy with them, more even than in the beginning. Lovin' this journey!

How do you think they would look on me? Don’t think my girls would be into it. I am always afraid to do anything with my hair. Thats why I am always just letting it grow. Simple enough… I guess.

Oh, you’d be ADORABLE with dreads. I think your girls would get into it, especially if they helped make ‘em! :P

Congrats on the new dreadlocks! I have loved every bend and turn, and only wanted them shaved off for about 2 seconds of every day to give my scalp a good scratch…but I love them, and I love not messing.

I just found this page while looking for a recipe to make my own dread shampoo! I loved this entry, as I am on the cusp of my 3 year dreadaversary too! I completely agreed with your comments as well! It was fun to see such good looking locks!
