Thanksgiving Book Feast Giveaway!
We all love yummy food, especially when it is cooked with time and care and excellent ingredients. And what is even better is when those recipes come from cookbooks that make you want to just cook food for your family all day long!
I have two of those type of cookbooks to offer to you my reader. Hachette has offered me three sets of these two cookbooks for a giveaway. Yes that's right! Each of three winners will get BOTH cookbooks, both. That is a good thing because after looking though mine I have no idea which I would have told you to choose over the other, although chocolate does always win out over actual meals for me- so that would probably be my choice.

These are the books:
How to Roast a Lamb: Greek Classic Cooking By Michael Psilakis, Barbara Kafka
Chocolate: A Love Story: 65 Chocolate Dessert Recipes from Max Brenner's Private Collection By Max Brenner, Yonatan Factor
Throughout the next couple of weeks I will highlight each of these books by cooking a scrumptious recipe of my choice to share with you! I know you are drooling already, so here is how to enter to the giveaway for one set of your own books.
Two ways to enter the giveaway:
- Comment on this post telling me what your all time favourite cookbook is, and why. (for one entry)
- Tweet about the giveaway with a link back to this post. (for one entry)
(leave a separate comment here telling me you tweeted)
Sorry, open only to US and Canadian residents, and no P.O boxes please. All entries must be in by the 29th of November the winner will be chosen 30th of November. Check back then to see if you got lucky!!
EDIT: WINNERS
Thank you to all the entrants!!!! Stay posted, I know there will be more goodies for me to offer you.

Have you tried any of the recipes?
i am a huge fan of Alton Brown so anything from him is worth a try. We just did a grilled pork tenderloin (you can find the recipe at foodnetwork.com) and it was amazing!
I also have Betty Crockers “How to cook Everything”. I got it as a wedding present and it has come in handy many times.
Plus, if I win, I’ll have you over when I make something! Ha!

My favorite cookbook you can’t purchase in stores or find online. It fills my mind with warm memories and my soul with nourishing delight.
It is the little spiral bound cookbook my mom gave me when I moved into my first apartment.
She filled it with, not only my favorite recipes, but also those that were jam-packed with sentiment, stuffed with love, and tasted of generations of recipes from our family.
It is my favorite cookbook because as I prepare and cook each dish, they take me on the journey of memories past, bring a smile to my face, and occasionally season the dish with the salt of a joy-filled tear.
I look forward to adding to the cookbook and passing along the recipes of love.

Sigh, sad to say, but I don’t have a fave cookbook. I own one cook book and I can’t even remember the name of it. LOL But I do love chocolate!

My all time favorite cookbook is `A Taste of Home School` because my boys helped contribute some recipes for this local homeschool cookbook. They were 5 and 7 at the time. Now their almost grown up at ages 16 and 18.

Do I have to tweet? I’m not a tweeter…Twitter-er? Whatever you call it. I am on Facebook though. Does that count?
It’s hard to choose just one, but I guess if I have to I’d say my favorite cookbook is “The Barefoot Contessa Cookbook” by Ina Garten. It’s so great for entertaining as all the food is incredibly tasty and also pretty (I’m huge into food not only tasting good, but looking good as well). Plus I’m big into cookbooks with great photography and this one fits the bill. There’s a photo for every recipe. Plus it has a good selection of soups, desserts, dinners, and appetizers which are all very pleasing to the eye. Not a single recipe is bad. I dislike cookbooks where I skip over 2/3 of the recipes because they don’t appeal to me. Everything in this one is simply incredible (and not a single one calls for creamed soup)….sorry, the stuff scares me.

My all time favorite cookbook is Betty Crocker. My mother had this cookbook for many years, and when she passed I inherited it. It’s still in good shape.
Thanks for the chance.

I’m with Amy, I have a lot of great cookbooks, but the Better Homes & Gardens cookbook is the most used in this house. I don’t have a Greek cookbook, though, and I love Greek food.

I don’t really have one favourite, but the one I’ve turned to most in the last 35 years that I’ve been cooking and baking…is The Joy of Cooking.
