Breakfast Recipe: Pears with Cottage Cheese
Why have oatmeal or cereal everyday? Well, I can’t find any reason for that myself, so we switch things up. Fruit and cottage cheese is nothing new, but I know that for me I sometimes need to see things in order to remember to eat them. That may be just me thoguh. This is one of our favourites, and it is actually quicker than oatmeal. I canned peaches last year in a very light syrup (which I hope to do again this year) on top of that is cottage cheese and then a sprinkling of brown sugar and cinnamon.

I haven’t had cottage cheese in so long I don’t really remember what it tastes like any more. My husband can’t stand it, and likes to give a running commentary on his dislike whenever he sees anyone eating it. So, since we’ve been married almost 12 years, it’s been at least that long since I’ve eaten it.

looks absolutely delicious! I have oatmeal every single day. The same kind–Maple and Brown Sugar instant oatmeal. I know that’s horrible, but it’s all I can manage (eat it at work).
Is anyone else having troubles subscribing to your follow up comments? I haven’t been blogging much lately, but it seems that I’m still having troubles.

It looks good! Unfortunately, I don’t think we have either peaches or cottage cheese. =/ I usually have toast and peanut butter for breakfast.
And coffee. Lots and lots of coffee.

That looks very healthy! I sort of have withdrawal if I don’t have peanut butter for breakfast, but that looks like a great mid-morning snack idea!

I made it for a later breakfast. It was sooo good!!! I am lovin’ the brown sugar with cottage cheese! Of course I didn’t use homemade canned pears. I am going to try to replace it for my evening snack instead of ice cream:) Thanks for sharing!
