Backyard Fort Adventures

The Chickens aren’t using the runs right now since there is lots and lots of fresh grass to tend to, so I put the boys in one! No worries, it is nice and clean, at least by my standards, and they love this little place to rest away from the sun. I am an avid fort maker, while growing up making forts was a certain highlight. Kids are so imaginative, sometimes it was a Bat Cave, others it was a castle and dungeon.

The boys say that this is their pirate camp.  What did you image as a kid that you had long forgotten about? Does it make you smile to think of a memory of make-believe of long ago?

ohh definitely yes! it brings a smile to my face when I think of the stories :) that I used to believe! :)

  2. Forts are great! I remember my brother and I could make some amazing forts out of the living room furniture and a bunch of extra blankets.

  3. My kids would love a fort like this! Now I think I’m going to go and make one. Thanks!

  4. Warren speaks often of his fort making days – he even has names for some of them! I love to see kids play using their imagination and NOT the video games! What wonderful memories they will have
